So this was a pretty chill weekend. My boyfriend came to pick me up on Friday so I could surprise my little sister this weekend. It’s her 12th birthday so I figured the best gift for her would be to see me. So I filled my dad in on the plan and he helped me out a bit. Every Friday my sister walks to Greater’s after school with all of her friends. My dad usually picks her up around 515 so I told my dad I would pick her up instead. I texted her around 5 just to ask what she was doing. She was SO excited to hear from me responded with “EMILY!! HI!! I’M AT GREATERS DAD’S ABOUT TO PICK ME UP!! HOW ARE YOU?!” So about 10 minutes later I called her when I was in Greater’s parking lot. She was so confused as to where I was and why I was calling her. I snuck in the door and came up behind her and she was just ecstatic. She immediately started crying and hugging me, telling me it was the best day ever. Eventually she stopped crying, so I took her home so I could see my dad and brother. My mom was out of town this weekend so I didn’t get to see my whole family, but it was pretty close. My sister, brother, dad and I went to J. Alexander’s on Friday, this nice restaurant by our house. I got a salad, filet mignon, and mashed potatoes. It was delicious. So everyone was happy I came home this weekend, but it’s nice to be back at OSU. It’s going to be a busy week! Peace Bloggy.

Hey Bloggy. I’m currently watching spongebob. It’s a newer episode I think because I haven’t seen it before. It’s the one where Spongebob and Patrick get these new whistles and keep playing them obnoxiously. Obviously, Squidward isn’t too pleased with the noises so he tries to run away from the two whistles. Finally Squidward takes the whistle from Spongebob for himself. He ends up making ridiculous noises with the whistle and disturbs all of he peace in Bikini Bottom. The people of Bikini Bottom start a riot to try and get Squidward to stop whistling. The riot doesn’t accomplish anything but make more trouble in the city. In the end Squidward ends up taking the wheel to a gasoline truck and driving through the whole city with it. The whole city watches him drive off of a cliff in the truck, and applauds after the cliff destroys him and the whistle. Unfortunately, Squidward does not die, but lives because of the whistle, which was in his mouth. The whistle saved his life, so the doctor did not take it out of his throat when they were helping him. When Squidward is all bandaged up in the hospital, Spongebob and Patrick come to visit and bring their whistles so they can “comfort” Squidward. It was a pretty funny episode, but I can never really retell episodes of Spongebob as well as they were performed. I will blog again tomorrow! I’m about to go to dinner with my dad and sister! See you Bloggy!

When I was in high school, I would always hang out with my friend Sarah after school. We would basically just relax on my couch and watch TV, pretty much the only thing I had planned as far as after-school activities go. I started to notice a pattern in these after school hangouts. Sarah would inevitably receive a phone call, remain on the line for about a minute, and then quickly hang up. She would say something had come up and she needed to leave. I was confused as to why she was leaving so abruptly, but I didn’t question it. Eventually I couldn't overlook the puzzling situation, and I decided to confront her about it. Upon my confrontation, Sarah told me that her mom was an alcoholic. The phone calls she was receiving were from her little brother and sister, pleading her to come home. At that moment I realized Sarah was much more of an adult that I had ever imagined. Because her mother had a drinking problem, she had to take up one of the parenting roles in her family. Her father worked all day, so he wasn’t able to take care of Sarah and her siblings until he got home. Until then, it was Sarah’s responsibility to feed her siblings, get them to school and practices on time, and tuck them into bed at night. Even though she was still considered a child herself, Sarah had many more responsibilities than the average 16-year old. Due to the complications in her family, she was forced to behave as an adult and take on adult responsibilities.

Hey Bloggy. I have a pretty good story to tell you. It may be a little embarrassing but whatever. So after class today, my jeans were really hurting my skin for some reason, especially on my butt. So I change into some sweats and realize there are some red marks on my butt. Obviously I go check myself out in the mirror, and realize that I have red marks in the shape of a toilet seat on my butt. So I was pretty concerned. So I told my roommate she had to look at it so I mooned her. First off, she was absolutely disgusted. But after she got over seeing my butt, she was also concerned about my rash as well. I had no clue what it was, and then I thought to myself… maybe you really could get STD’s from the toilet seats… So I showed some of the girls on my floor and they realized it wasn’t an STD but that our housekeeping just recently washed the toilets. Turns out I’m allergic to the cleaning supplies they used. How great. So I told some people on my floor and like 3 other girls have the same thing! Why would the housekeeping use a soap that hurt so many people? But that’s what I get for sitting on the toilet seats I guess. Pretty disgusting, I know. So that was my day. My butt burns and it hurts to sit. Talk to you tomorrow Bloggy! Peace out.

Bloggy! So I sent in my absentee application to vote earlier last week, but I still haven’t received anything else about it. Apparently they count the votes up to 10 days after the election. I’m really not too worried about it though. My dad really wanted me to vote, but I feel like it’s a little pointless if I don’t have too much of an opinion. Especially since I’m at college, I really don’t know what all the issues are from home that I want to get passed. My dad told me what his opinions were on the topics but I don’t want to vote for something just because he did. I think it’s important to have my own opinion and not just believe in something because someone else does. So I really need to get started on this Commonplace paper... I’m such a procrastinator. I currently am STARVING. I want to go to the Union and get some sushi. I haven’t had it in like a week I think, which is probably a new record. I took my psych exam this morning. It wasn’t too bad!! I recognized about everything on the test, so I knew I studied all of the right things. Now I just have to wait for my professor to post the grades, which will probably take a week knowing him. Well, it’s about time I start my CP paper for tomorrow, hopefully I can use one of the stories I blogged about earlier. I wrote those so quick they’re probably horrible though. Peace out Bloggy.

Bloggy! No English class today! YAY! I loved having the rest of my afternoon off. Once I got out of my one class at 12:18 I was done! So my roommate and I went to some random girl’s house on 18th to pick up my roommate’s buckID. This weekend she had lost it and this girl messaged Allie on Facebook and told her she found it. Boy was Allie excited. After that, we went and got lunch at the union. It was delicious like always. I worked on some homework and tried to nap for about 15 minutes. I worked out again today! That is such an accomplishment for me. Two days in a row is a pretty big deal. Now I’m working on my blog so I can spend the rest of the night studying for my psych exam tomorrow. It will be the death of me. For some reason I just don’t understand anything in psych. Like I’m good with memorization but I just can’t get the concepts. And unfortunately, the whole test is about the concepts. This past week I’ve just been going through all the key words and notes from the chapter and typing them out. So tonight I will finish with the notes, then print my notes out and try and memorize them. I’m not sure if that’s the best idea but that’s how it will be done. I never used to study in high school for anything, so this whole studying situation is still new to me. Wish me luck Bloggy!

And yet another Monday has passed Bloggy. It was a pretty productive one though. After my classes this morning I went to the Union and got lunch, sushi and a side salad, like always. Then I came back to the room at about 1:30 and took a nap for about an hour and a half. I only planned on sleeping for 20 minutes but I woke up to my phone ringing and it was already 3 o’clock. I was actually a little upset. Then some of the girls on my floor made me go work out with them. I never work out. That was my second time working out since I started school. So after I worked out I called my parents to tell them what I had accomplished. They were so proud. I went to my room and worked on some homework for a while until I got hungry again. Then my roommate and I went to the Union and I got a big salad and a yogurt. I ended up eating my roommate’s soup too. After a few more hours of studying, homework, Facebook and Twitter, we decided to order Insomnia Cookies. Very good decision. I ordered a brownie with cookie dough on it and some giant peanut butter chocolate cookie. I ended up eating them both, which probably wasn’t too smart because then I got a stomach ache. I watched the new 90210 tonight; it was pretty intense. It’s always intense though. You know what else is intense? Camping. Get it? One of my favorite jokes by far. Well that was my day Bloggy, I hoped you enjoyed hearing about it.
xoxo
